Nobody does Egyptian mythology like Laura Greenwood and Empress Of The Dark is no exception. It's a wonderful and empowering story about Nephthys finding her courage to leave her husband and pick up her duty in the Hall Of Judgement. As always, the scenes and descriptions are vibrant and I can really picture what it's like underneath the hot sun and sandy deserts. The new relationship Greenwood paints for Nephthys is with someone who encourages and respects her and I was rooting for the characters all the way. I also think the end deserves a special mention because it was perfect and everything I wanted for Nephthys.
